Akane First-Harvest Hatsukane Citrus Gift Set (2 Pouches)

A first-pick Sayama sencha from the Akane cultivar, packed as a two-pouch gift set. Akane is an early variety, picked at the start of the season, so the leaf is fresher and lighter than a standard mid-season sencha.

The open green box shows both pouches side by side, labeled 狭山茶 with gold 初あかね stickers, and the camellia-pattern lid set beside it. Same seasonal gift line as the citrus set, 旬のおくりもの, with a greener checkered sleeve instead of the purple one.

Tasting notes
Young leaf, a light floral note, and a clean finish. Sayama leaf is thicker from the cooler Saitama climate, so there is still body under the first-flush brightness. Liquor is clear and yellow-green.

How to brew
Use about 2 teaspoons (5–6 g) in 200 ml of water at 75–80°C. Steep 45–60 seconds. A second infusion can go a little hotter and shorter.
